- I'm moving into my very own, grown-up apartment. This place is probably the same size as the one I shared with 2-3 other girls at Covenant, and it's all mine! Right now I have no idea what I'm going to do with all that space, but I'm sure I will have no trouble filling it all up. :) It's one bedroom, one bath on the third floor in a building in the same complex where my brother once lived. I move in on November 2, which is only about a week away!
- Thanks in very large part to the generosity of friends and family, my apartment has pretty much all the furniture I need right now! I bought a recliner at a thrift store, and I'm going to buy a mattress set soon, and that will be the only money I've spent! A friend of my brother's kindly gave me an old couch that he doesn't need, and my brother is going to lend me a stool so I can eat at the breakfast bar, so I have seating, a place to eat, and a place to sleep! I don't really need much more right now, and I don't plan to buy much more until I get a job (except maybe a cheap bookcase, unless I decide I like living with stacks of books on the floor :) )
- Not much news on the job front. I'm working on applying for a tutoring position, and waiting to hear back on a couple other places (including Bed Bath and Beyond and the University of Alabama at Huntsville. Never let it be said that I don't have diverse tastes.) I'm also in contact with a scientist at HudsonAlpha (a big biotech company here) who is looking to hire a lab assistant soon. The catch? She's on maternity leave and therefore is sometimes difficult to reach. I just got an email from her saying she'll try to call me this week, so hopefully that will work out!
- I'm super excited that since I'm now considered a resident of this county that I can get a library card. This was probably one of the most exciting things for me about renting an apartment...no joke.

Fashionably Late Update
I just called it fashionably late so that I could feel better about it. Although, there isn't a ton to update, since only a few of you who read this are not direct family members and therefore don't hear what's going on with me through the family grapevine. :) But for those of you who put up with me despite not being genetically linked to me, here's what's going on. And yes, it's going to be a list, because that's how I think.

Fashionably late? It's been about a month! I'd call it horribly late.
