Allergic to...Weather?

I'm pretty convinced I'm allergic to snow.

First of all, I think I attract storms...this weekend's snow showed up just after I left campus to go to Huntsville, which is the same thing that happened two weeks ago. I'm starting to think that I should just stay on campus for the rest of the semester, lest we have a freak snowstorm in the spring or summer. :)
But back to my original topic. I'm allergic to snow. I didn't start feeling sneezy and congested until lunchtime when the snow finally made an appearance. I got stuffier the closer I got to Huntsville, and while the snow had cleared up by the time I got here, the damage had been done. I sneezed, and sneezed, and sneezed all night long, and totally forgot what it was like to be able to breath through my nose. Thank heavens for whoever invented Benedryl, because it's the only thing that let me sleep last night.
I'm feeling much better today, having taken copious amounts of another antihistamine and Sudafed. Plus now my eyelids have returned to their normal size, so I can wear my contacts comfortably. :) But we'll have to wait and see if this happens again tomorrow, when it's supposed to snow and rain.
What's that? You say I'm allergic to a bunch of random things and probably just got a large dose some allergen in my system and that's why I reacted badly? No, that couldn't possibly be it. I just can't move anywhere that it snows...guess that leaves most of the Southwest. ;)

  1. Hmmm, well you can get snow in the mountains in California. I guess you'll have to be picky about where you live even in California.
