Productive Snow Day...not an oxymoron!

I totally called that classes were going to be delayed and then canceled yesterday. :) When I saw the weather prediction of snow, I predicted that classes would be delayed until 10. Sure enough, I got an email when I got up that classes were delayed, so I watched some stuff on my computer and dozed off for a little while. When I got up again, I got another email that classes had been canceled for the day, which I had predicted after looking outside. :) By the time it stopped snowing, we had about 3-4 inches of perfect snowball snow...but more on that a little later.
Knowing that I'd be stuck inside all day and that I had a lot to do, I decided to drink some coffee and get to work. I had to study for two tests that were the next day, as well as try to edit my SIP, which I want to have done by Thursday. In addition, I got an email from one of our RAs, announcing a snowball fight at 4pm. I was slightly stressed, not knowing how I was going to get it all done.
Well, there must have been extra caffeine or something in the coffee, because I was Miss Speedy Productivity. I studied my review sheets for The Family, revised half of my SIP, watched a movie with my roommates, and started studying for Micro before the snowball fight. This fight was epic! We were constantly switching "teams" (there weren't really defined teams even at the beginning, which made it even more fun), the snow was absolutely perfect for packing into snowballs, and there were ton of people running all around the apartments, rolling in the snow, sliding down hills, hiding behind cars, and attacking each other with massive chunks of snow. :) I also made a sweet snow angel.
After I went in from the fight, I studied more with a friend for Micro, cooked myself dinner, watched a little TV, showered, did my hair, cut my bangs perfectly (first time ever!!), studied more for the Family, found out the Family test was delayed since classes this morning were delayed, studied more for Micro, ordered my cap and gown for graduation, and went to bed. :) I got up early this morning to study even more for Micro, went to classes and took the test....feel pretty good about it, although I could have done better. To-do list for the rest of the week: finish revising SIP, study for Linguistics, review just a little bit more for the Family, pack for Spring break. Hopefully this productivity lasts for just a little while longer! Then I can be unproductive on vacation. :)

  1. We only got about a half-inch, if that, on Missionary Ridge.

  2. Man, we kept wanting Grove City to give us one or two snow days last month when we were getting snow pile ups. No such luck. Apparently they haven't shut the school down for a snow day in years, even though we've had a lot of it. Oh well. That's what you get for going to a school where they don't freak out about a couple inches of snow ;).

I'm glad you had a productive day and a great snowball fight! Wish I could hang out with you :(.
