Thanksgiving

I love Thanksgiving. And not just because it means I don't have 3 days of classes and I get to get off campus, although those are major bonuses. I also don't love this holiday just because it's a great excuse to eat a lot of delicious food, although that is another bonus.

I love Thanksgiving because of the time I get to spend with family.

For example, right now, as I sit typing on my laptop, I'm slouching on my aunt and uncle's couch (sorry Mom, I know you taught me to sit up straight) in front of the TV. Jeopardy, a constant Berkompas favorite, is playing on the TV while my cousin calls out the answers (not in proper Jeopardy form, I might add). My gramma and another cousin are putting together a puzzle, something we do at just about every holiday. The two dogs are lounging around, only interrupting this tiring activity to beg for food, chase a ball, or "fight" with each other. I know that even more family is showing up in the next few days, which will make for a packed, loud, bustling house. I also know that on Friday I'll be going shopping with my cousins, a tradition since freshman year (although we aren't the crazy types that show up at 3am or something...we sleep in and go around 9 or 10).

Yes...it's going to be a good break. :)
