Hot Summer Night

It was supposed to hit 102 today, although I think the kitchen thermometer broke and got stuck at 94. Didn't do much, just checked out an awesome used bookstore and ended up with few more books that I initially intended to leave here for my aunt to sell back but now may have to send back to school because I want to keep them. :)
So, since I have nothing else to report and not much else to do, I thought I'd steal this survey from Ariel. So here is "Karin-ology" (whatever that means).

FOOD-OLOGY

What is your favorite salad dressing?
Not a fan of salad, but I like ranch on a lot of things.

What is your favorite sit-down restaurant?
There's just so many...how do I choose?

What food could you eat for 2 weeks straight and not get sick of it?
Chocolate chip cookies. Especially if there's milk.

What are your pizza toppings of choice?
Pepperoni with lots and lots of cheese.

What do you like to put on your toast?
Depends on what kind of bread is toasted. Butter, strawberry jam/jelly, peanut butter, or sometimes cinnamon and sugar.

TECHNOLOGY

How many televisions are in your house?
One.

What color cell phone do you have?
Silver.

What does the first text message in your in box say and who sent it?
Um, that would require me getting off the couch and walking aaaaaaallllllllll the way to my bedroom to dig up my phone. Not happening. :)

Who was the last person to call you?
I think it was a wrong number. Or one of my parents.

BIOLOGY

Are you right-handed or left-handed?
Righty.

Have you ever had anything removed from your body?
What sorts of things are we talking about here? Splinters? Piercings?

What is the last heavy item you lifted?
A large 4-liter bottle of some organic solvent.

RANDOM-OLOGY

If it were possible, would you want to know the day you were going to die?
Not. at. all.

If you could change your name, what would you change it to?
I kinda like my name actually. Maybe I'd go by my middle name, if I absolutely had to.

Would you drink an entire bottle of hot sauce for $1000?
Add a few extra zeros, and we'll talk.

DUMB-OLOGY

How many pairs of flip flops do you own?
One, I think.

When is the last time you had a run in with the cops?
When I got my speeding ticket a year and a half ago or so. If you can call that a "run-in".

Last person you talked to in person?
My aunt and uncle.

Favorite Month(s)?
January (my birthday month!), May, maybe September.

CURRENT-OLOGY

Missing someone?
Yes.

Mood?
Content. Sleepy.

What are you listening to?
The tv, and the gentle hum of my computer fan.

Watching?
Um, my computer screen? Letters magically appearing as I punch little plastic keys?

Worrying about?
How to get those books I bought today back to school, along with all of my other junk. :)

RANDOM-OLOGY

Last movie you saw?
In theaters? Ice Age 3D. Pretty cute, actually.

Do you smile often?
Yes.

Do you always answer your phone?
No. I mean, is there really a person out there who has the time and ability to always answer his or her phone?

It’s four in the morning and you get a text message, who is it?
A friend on the East Coast who woke up early and completely forgot about the time difference. True story.

If you could change your eye color what would it be?
Green maybe. I really like my eye color though, so I probably wouldn't change it.

Do you own a digital camera?
Let's just say I'm in the process of finding the right camera for me.

Have you ever had a pet fish?
Several goldfish, all of whom quickly visited the Big Toilet Bowl in the Sky.

Favorite Christmas song
Hymn: Pretty much all of them.
Song: Probably Rudolph. I don't really know though...never thought about it that much.

What’s on your wish list for your birthday
Lots of books and DVDs. And a really cute tri-colored corgi stuffed animal. :)

Can you do pushups?
Thanks to crazy volleyball coaches, I could at one time. Not sure if I could anymore, and I don't really plan to try.

Can you do a chin up?
In elementary school PE, yes. Now...I don't know.

Does the future make you more nervous or excited?
Yes.

Ever been in a car wreck?
No, thankfully.

What is the last song to make you cry?
I don't think a song has ever made me cry. Sad, yes, but tears, not so much.

Plans tonight?
Sleep.

Have you ever felt like you hit rock bottom?
No.

Name three things you bought yesterday.
How about three books I bought today? Agatha Christie's The ABC Murders, Elizabeth Peters' Crocodile on a Sandbank, and Rita Mae Brown's The Purrfect Murder.

Have you ever been given roses?
I think so? My dad has given me flowers before, so the chances are pretty good. :)

Do you have an accent?
I don't think so, although one or two people have told me that I talk like a Californian.

Current hate right now?
Congestion.

What were you doing at 12 AM last night?
Sleeping. :) Having a real job has ruined me as far as typical college student behavior goes.

  1. You have a speeding ticket? Shamefull! I think you'll like Crocodile on a Sandbank. I finished it about a week ago.

  2. I haven't read Croc on a Sandbank--it's going with me on vacation. I'm just finishing the audiobook of The Falcon at the Portal--uber-good. All the dishy-stuff that I've tried to guess at in the later book in the series that I read.
