Weekend Vacation

So, hopefully everyone had a wonderful 4th of July weekend like I did! Basic summary before we head into picture time: Friday we drove up to Seattle, spent most of the day doing touristy things, stayed overnight, drove to Tacoma to see the Museum of Glass, and then headed to Mt. Rainer National Park to catch a steam train that toured a small part of the park.
Ok, here are some of my better pictures from the trip:

A view of downtown Seattle from the Space Needle

Our hotel as seen from the Space Needle! We were really close.

Union Lake

One of my favorite pictures I took. :)

This place was very, very crowded.

The sea otters at the Seattle Aquarium totally pose for cameras.

The Space Needle at dusk, as seen from my hotel room.

Totally awesome fountain outside the museum.

Part of the museum building.

The train, heading over an 85 foot trestle...over a very tiny creek.

The train going back over the same trestle.

Mt. Rainer from a lookout point on our way home.

All in all, it was a very busy but very fun weekend. :) I have a lot more pictures, but to show all of them would take too much time and space, so you'll just have to ask to see them sometime, if you want. Back to work tomorrow!

  1. Hmmmm, it looks like you got lucky and went to Seatle on one of the rare rainless days.
