This has been a long week (even though technically it isn't over). I've only work 3 more hours than usual so far, and I'm twice as tired; how does that work?
I've been doing mostly biology this week...protein analysis using gel electrophoresis and western blots (I'll explain another time when my brain kicks back into full gear). :) The only problem with that is it takes forever. And it's all pretty much hurry up and wait...rush to set up the gels, wait for an hour, get something out of the freezer to thaw, wait two hours, etc. But it's still fun to do.
I feel like that's really all I have to say. I'm contemplating a pre-bedtime nap....maybe not the best plan, but it sounds pretty good right now. :)
Maybe there is a Calculus function and derivative to calculate a person's tiredness against the amount of work they do. It might answer your question.
ReplyDeleteCan you listen to audio books while you wait? If so, try an Elizabeth Peter's book (one of the Amelia Peabody series--witty, mysterious, and cool archaeology
ReplyDeleteI actually did that! I listened to Harry Potter book 6, several Father Gilbert radio shows (mystery series done by Focus on the Family about a British detective turned priest...very very good), and some Adventures in Odyssey. I'm hoping to get some of the Chronicles of Narnia next, since I haven't read those for a while. No one seems to care if I have my headphones on...most of them do too. :)
